Bridgeborn awarded contract from L-3 Global Security & Engineering Solutions to support DHS/FEMA Terrorism Prevention Exercise Program (TPEP)
Bridgeborn to provide technical expertise and support of DHS’ National Exercise Division
Virginia Beach, VA – September 30, 2010 – Bridgeborn today announced that it has been awarded a subcontract from L-3 Global Security & Engineering Solutions (GS&ES), through the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency (DHS/FEMA), to support the Terrorism Prevention Exercise Program (TPEP). TPEP provides strategic technical assistance to all U.S. states and territories as well as the nation’s 72 designated intelligence/law enforcement fusion centers. This assistance is designed to address the prevention goals and capabilities of the national intelligence and federal law enforcement communities as well as state, local and tribal law enforcement and intelligence communities.
“Bridgeborn is pleased to continue our relationship with L-3 GS&ES as we provide mission
focused support services for the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency,” said Katharine Murphy, EVP of the federal practice at Bridgeborn. “Working in this capacity for DHS/FEMA, Bridgeborn will provide technical expertise to constitute and support the National Exercise Division’s “Red Team.” The Red Team identifies and simulates terrorist tactics, techniques and procedures during the design, development, conduct and evaluation of TPEP-supported exercises. This includes activities such as target rehearsals, probing exercises, venue/target reconnaissance, role-playing, and participation in post-exercise reviews and debriefs.”
“With this most recent win, Bridgeborn continues our growth within Homeland Security while further expanding our capabilities. Working in support of TPEP, our staff of Subject Matter Experts will provide terrorist threat awareness seminars, conduct vulnerability threat assessments and support prevention-related activities for other NED exercise initiatives,” said Bridgeborn CEO, Tim Ambrosino. “We are pleased to continue our partnership with L-3 GS&ES and look forward to our continued support of the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.”
